NCDs Program

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) have now become the leading cause of mortality in India. The sustainable development goals set by the United Nations in 2015 call for a one-third reduction in premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by 2030 under one of its targets. These include cardiovascular diseases (CVD), chronic respiratory illnesses, cancer, oral health and diabetes.

According to the Global Burden of Disease, nearly a quarter (24.8 per cent) of all deaths in India is due to CVDs. The Union Government of India has only recently conferred increasing attention on CVD, with the initiation of the National Program for the Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Stroke. To provide greater efficiency and equity in the delivery of health services, @trinitycarefoundation has announced its commitment to advance universal health coverage through its outreach health plans.

As part of management of NCDs, Trinity Care Foundation with CSR support from Dotdash Meredith India has initiated a public health project in a Government PHC in Ramanagara District, Karnataka with focus on  Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and Oral Health. This project has the potential to significantly reduce cardiovascular care and oral health disparities and improve community awareness for the marginalized.

Trinity Care Foundation has been actively supporting critical community health since 2007, You can support such public health projects as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for your company in association with us. Write to us (support@trinitycarefoundation.org) to connect.
